Almási
The Hungarian Zoltán Almási was born on 29th August in 1976, in Járdánháza. He achieved the Grandmaster title in 1993 aged 17, and became a U18 Junior World Champion, too. His Elo-rating was 2682 in April 2016. His highest world rank is 20. (May 2010).
In the 1998 World Championship matches, he finished among the best 16 players, and in 1997 he lost to Vishwanathan Anand and Anatoly Karpov. In the 2004 FIDE-world championship, he lost to future winner, Rustam Kasimdzhanov in the fourth round.
From 1994 to 2014 he participated in fourteen chess Olympiads altogether. His team received its first silver medal in 2002, and he got his first individual silver in 2010. In 2014, the team received its second silver.

In the 2002 chess Olympiad, he was the most successful member of the Hungarian team; he gained 9 points out of the maximum 13.
